Sylvie Nadeau, President
Sylvie Nadeau has worked in the tourism industry for over thirty years. Recognized as a pioneer in cultural tourism, she has cultivated an expertise in the creation, development and management of cultural itineraries exclusive to Quebec for Canadian and international clients. In 2001, her company, SN Tourisme culturel, won the bronze medal at Quebec Tourism’s Grands Prix.
From 2002 to 2004, Sylvie Nadeau was President of the Canadian Tourism Commission’s Cultural Tourism Committee. In 2004, she took her company into an important new phase of development when she partnered with Andrée Girard, a well-known figure in the cultural tourism industry. Together they have developed exclusive cultural tourism programs that harmoniously combine nature, music and culture, reaffirming their position as leaders in cultural tourism. Passionate about the wealth that Quebec has to offer as a cultural destination, they specialize in the reception of foreign tourists looking for unique cultural experiences.
Andrée Girard, Vice President
Andrée Girard has been an active figure on the arts scene in Québec and in Canada for over 25 years.
She worked as a broadcaster for CBC radio and television before becoming programming director for CBC French radio's Chaîne culturelle for several years.
She was also a founding member and director of the Conseil québécois de la musique.
Over the course of her career, she has developed many projects and was associated with the creation of several cultural institutions such as the Opus Prize, recognized by music professionals, the Le Carrousel international du film de Rimouski (North America''s only annual film festival for French-speaking youth), and the Conseil de la musique des Trois-Amériques. She was involved with several arts organisations such as Les arts et la Ville and the Canadian Conference of the Arts.
As part of her responsibilities at the Conseil québécois de la musique, she established with Sylvie Nadeau an innovative tourism program entitled Québec en musique which earned a Ulysse prize awarded by Tourisme Québec. In 2004, she crossed paths once more with Sylvie Nadeau and decided to enter into a partnership with her to further her company dedicated to cultural tourism.
